At Disruptor Manufacturing, we specialize in designing and manufacturing high-quality spraying equipment for a variety of industries. Originally, we made only soft washing sprayers, but over the years, we have expanded our operation to include sprayers for pool cleaning, auto detailing, sanitation, and more. In this article, we will focus on our sanitation sprayers and provide a few guidelines to help you use these tools safely and effectively.

Guidelines for Using Sanitation Sprayers

  • Clear the Room – When using sanitation sprayers to disinfect a space, the only person who should be in the area is the one operating the sprayer. Make sure to wear appropriate PPE while operating the device, and have everyone else clear out of the area until the disinfectant has had time to work. Once you have sprayed down all the surfaces in the space, you should leave as well, staying out of the area for the length of time indicated by the chemical manufacturer.
  • Remove Residue – After you apply your disinfectant of choice with the sanitation sprayers, you will need to give it time to work and then follow the manufacturer’s instructions to remove any residue from the surfaces in the area. The same chemicals that kill germs can also negatively impact people’s health in high enough concentrations, so you’ll need to get rid of the residue before the room can be used again.
  • Take Extra Care in Certain Areas – Lastly, when using sanitation sprayers in food preparation areas or places where children spend time, such as classrooms, you will need to take even greater precautions. Make sure to follow EPA guidelines on appropriate disinfectants to use in these areas and thoroughly remove any residue and air out the space afterwards.
